About Me

Hi, I'm Marlowe Kushner!

I recently graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and a minor in Science Communications.

During my time at UCSB, I was fortunate to immerse myself in my passions for ecology, biology, and science communications. In my third year, my studies took me to the east coast of Australia, where I conducted marine biology research and participated in terrestrial ecology field studies. This experience sparked my deep interest in scientific writing and research.

Beyond academics, I've expanded my professional writing experience through roles in action sports media and medical affairs. Since the summer of 2022, I've been writing for Teton Gravity Research (TGR), a media company based in Jackson, Wyoming. At TGR, I curate outdoor content, craft social media copy for the website, and manage editorial rollouts and PR campaigns in collaboration with athletes and brand partners. In spring 2024, I completed a three-month internship in the Science and Medical Affairs division at Real Chemistry, where I transformed complex scientific content into clear, engaging, and visually appealing materials.

I'm excited to continue my professional journey and look forward to the opportunities ahead.
